What is Pass Plus?

Pass Plus is a governmental organized scheme that allows newly qualified drivers to gain extra experience in six key driving areas and gain discounts off your car insurance.

The Problem

As a new driver, you are more likely to have an accident in the first year after passing your test than in any other time in your driving life. Lack of experience means that you could be as much as TWO SECONDS slower than a more experienced driver in recognizing danger - and that could be the difference between life and death. New drivers are especially vulnerable. They hold only 10% of licences, but are involved in 20% of road accidents. If you work it out that's about 150,000 accidents involving a young driver each year!

How does it work?

After you've got your full licence and within the first year, you can book with a Pass Plus enrolled driving instructor for a course of six specially designed training sessions,

TOWN DRIVING

RURAL DRIVING

NIGHT DRIVING

 ALL WEATHER DRIVING

DUAL CARRIAGEWAYS

MOTORWAYS

And because you're training with a professional, you quickly gain valuable extra experience and skills that would take a long time to acquire by yourself. There is NO test to take. . You will be a SAFER AND MORE CONFIDENT.

How much will it cost?

The course takes a minimum of 6 hrs and is completed in one day, It will include Dual-carriageway & motorway experience, Regular Refreshment breaks are taken as required. The total cost is £140 yet the discount you receive may be up to 50% off your insurance premium*.

Even if you are not planning in getting your own car just yet, the discount may be held over* (up to two years) or used to reduce loading where young drivers are added to their parents' policy.
